CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Girls Plus Data, Inc. is fully committed to providing a safe, secure, and fun experience for children who visit our site or participate in our events. We safeguard any Personal Information collected online in an effort to help parents and children have positive digital experiences and we only collect information that is necessary for Girls Plus Data, Inc. business operations. This information may include their name, school they attend, grade or age, and photos, videos or other digital media in which they may be present.
We never knowingly request Personal Information from participants under the age of 13 without prior parental consent. With parental consent we may collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13, for example, Photos, Name, Email Address, or student generated content. The information we collect allow us to fulfill specific business purposes such as facilitating participation in our programs, keeping records, marketing, and customizing or enhancing future programs for children.
In some cases, children under the age of 13 may make certain content such as user generated content visible to others or the public. This could include, for example, a website, dashboard, or other projects from our events that are designed for group or public viewing online. Without legal parents/guardians consent, children under the age of 13 will only be permitted to display information such as First Name; a unique identifier; or other information not allowing online contact by third parties.
Regardless of what information is displayed, legal parents/guardians have the right to revoke their consent and ask information to be deleted or obscured. (See Process for Removal)
To review Personal Information collected from children we must verify the identity of the legal parent/guardian requesting the Personal Information. When a legal parent/guardian revokes consent we stop collecting, using, processing, or disclosing information from their child, whichever is appropriate.
In an effort to respect the privacy of parents, Personal Information collected and used for the sole purpose of obtaining verifiable parental consent or providing notice is not maintained in retrievable form by the site if parental consent is not obtained after a reasonable time.
The Personal Information and other information collected from or about children under the age of 13 or otherwise may be collected by or shared with our Schools, Event Sponsors, or volunteers directly involved with Girls Plus Data, Inc. business.

Legal Parent/Guardians that can verify their identity can request removal of Personal Information of their children, under the age of 13. This can be done in writing by emailing info@girlsplusdata.org and including the following:
